Your Machine Releases Fiery Alt Rock Cover of Børns’ hit song “American Money” (Feat. Dorah) May 11th
Dorah, from Brazil, takes the lead on Your Machine’s latest cover of Børns’ hit song “American Money”
Your Machine and Dorah take this ambient and passionate song about romance and turn it into an alt-rock fiery love masterpiece. Mark’s guitars capture the ambience of the synth work on the original but his raw buzz cut bass tones give the rhythm section new life. Likewise, the drums are bold and brazen and keep the energy moving through your body the entire track. Dorah captures Garrett Clark Borns’ original performance well (which is no easy feat) but with refreshing Brazilian accents. Dorah’s voice gives a glimpse into the female side of the burning passion within those green eyes that inspired the original. The entire song is a fiery buildup into the burning passion inspired by those green eyes and Dorah’s voice gives a glimpse into what could be the female story behind being consumed by their power.

Social distancing has been quite tough, to say the least; but not enough to hold these musicians back!
Your Machine consists of artists from around the world, collaborating together in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. When the traditional ways of collaborating on and promoting music essentially disappeared, producers David (drummer from the U.S.) and Mark (bassist/guitarist from Austria) connected online in January 2020. They began recording their album remotely – which is, let’s face it, part of the new business model for many musicians, even at the highest professional tiers of the industry.
For this current track, Your Machine collaborated with Dorah from Brazil.
“This was actually the first cover we started; but it was really hard to find someone that could both transform the performance of the original singer in a new way and handle that vocal range within the intensity of a rock song. But then we found Dorah and it all came together! I’m really happy with this project. It feels like we did the original song justice and at the same time gave it a new life. “ – David
Your Machine is currently riding the wave from their cover releases of Masked Wolf’s “Astronaut in the Ocean” on March 1st and Kid Laroi’s “Without You” April 4th 2021. They currently have 5 more songs ready for release this year and are currently in the studio working with vocalists from the U.S., U.K., and Brazil to drop throughout the rest of year.
