True pioneers of psychedelic swing, Oregon-based Scarlett Siren & The Howlin’ Tramps’ evocative, enchanting, and profoundly soulful sound has earned the 5-piece outfit raving reviews since the release of their debut EP.

Fronted by Burlesque Performer and Songwriter Scarlett Siren, their forthcoming EP, ‘The Devil in the Details’, is guaranteed to turn heads from all corners of the industry. Notably, the EP was inspired by Ruth Ellis, a woman from the ’50s who was given a death sentence after murdering her abusive husband.

Kicking off the proceedings with the unapologetic angst of ‘Fuck You’, Scarlett Siren & The Howlin’ Tramps waste no time in showcasing what they’re all about. Equal parts empowering and divine, the track does well to set the EP in motion.

‘Wicked One’ harbors a much heavier load of cinematic tension and rugged riffs, with superb uses of silence between succulent saxophone solos truly emphasizing the raw power of Scarlett’s vocal palette. The resemblance to the one and only Amy Winehouse during this number is undeniable.

Moving on, ‘Sun Don’t Shine’ really puts the psychedelic into swing, with captivating use of playful melodies and an abundance of groove making this track a real standout of the EP. Finishing off with the dazzling storytelling narrative of ‘Aint That A Shame’, Scarlett Siren & The Howlin’ Tramps have truly outdone themselves.
