Run-Away-Into-The-Night-By-Olym-2

Run Away (Into the Night) is the second release by an up-and-coming artist OLYM. The track is a continuation of OLYM’s debut single Finest Hour. Run Away was inspired by a night out in New York City, where OLYM currently resides.

OLYM recalls finding himself at a party and longing to leave but not finding anyone to leave with, which inspired the lyrics. Funnily enough, upon leaving OLYM has accidentally crashed Madonna’s private party uptown, which in turn inspired the beat to Run Away. The track encapsulates the feeling of being late while also being early. “Tell the DJ that I hate him, can’t no longer fake it” OLYM sings. The song has an upbeat and catchy sound and multiple layers of vocals (headphones recommended!). The follow-up to Finest Hour is influenced by Euro-pop, funk, and disco.

For the second single, OLYM has chosen Run Away (Into the Night) to reflect on his development from the debut as an artist, songwriter, producer, and lyricist. On the surface it is a song about leaving the club without saying good-bye, on a deeper level it is an anthem of knowing your self-worth and choosing your own path. OLYM invites you to take his hand and leave the imaginary dancefloor into the midnight city.

Originally from overseas, OLYM came to New York to conquer the musical Olympus. He draws inspiration from fashion, mythology, and his own philosophy. His music is filled with life experiences and nods to icons such as Gianni Versace, Madonna, and Elton John. The cornerstone of OLYM’s music is the fusion of classical instruments, choir, dance pop, and disco.
