PITTSBURGH RAPPER PICK PATEK BRINGS THE ENERGY WITH HIS LATEST RELEASE ‘GUAP’ JUST IN TIME FOR A WILD SUMMER PARTY

Pick Patek-2

May 7th, 2021 – Independent artist Pick Patek released his latest single titled ‘GUAP,’ the second of his recent collaborations with producer ProdOMG, and also working with fellow producer Brougkr. Pick has been coming through consistently in 2021 with a song every month, with this being the 4th of these singles. ‘GUAP’ shows Patek’s playful side while also showcasing his ability to control many different flows with his lyrics. The song opens with big bouncing notes that get your energy going even before Pick begins his lyrical onslaught. The high energy feeling is apparent throughout the song as he talks about how a hater “Got U A Problem (GUAP)” and their negativity is insignificant and can’t stop his shine. Patek continues on to describe his player-ish lifestyle through the rest of the song and is sure to get you wanting to bounce this coming Summer. The song will be accompanied with a music video released on the day of the song release. Pick Patek teams back up with videographer/editor Lilly Dupuis to capture and visualize the energy of the song.

Pick Patek was raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he started working on his craft as early as grade school. He then moved out to Pittsburgh after high school to attend college and pursue his musical dreams. With early influences like Kanye West and Chance the Rapper, Patek released his first project in 2018 “When in Oakland,” which has the lead single ‘Skywards’ that recently amassed 1 million streams. With two more albums, “Modern Art” and “GHOSTS,” released in successive years, Pick looks to grow on his early success with this latest release.

When asked to comment on the process of making the song Pick Patek described the session as, “The three of us were just going back and forth tapping in and out, adding and removing, everything went insanely smoothly and the energy of the session really came through in the beat. This was the first song I’ve ever really freestyled the verse/hook and punched in after every line or few. We were all hype. I was just hype on not taking shit from anybody else again. That’s why the first words are you got you a problem you act like you popped but you really ain’t popped yet. Its just facts. I was sick of people’s bs.”
