Music Interview: JEDA delves on his creative tastes, musical influences & new single ‘Blown’

What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path?
I had a freestyle session with my friends during the quarantine (march 2020) and I realized it was something I enjoyed and I was good at so I went for it.
Tell us about your new music? And what’s the story behind it?
The name of my new song is blown. I wrote that song the same day I wrote way to attack. I was in a very good mood that night and I just kept on spazzing on the mic.
What makes your music unique? How would you describe it?
My songs are unique and different because I always have some element of surprise in all song and I tend to have a very catchy hook with the melodic rap. I try to always add my Nigerian side as well to all my songs which makes me different from any other person out there.
Who are your biggest musical influences? And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future?
Ohh I will like to collaborate with rihanna, polo g, rod wave, drake, lil baby and nba youngboy. I just really like their style of music and I can totally relate to each of them in a certain type of way which makes me cherish their work a lot more
Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?
I honestly just started so I really don’t have the biggest highlights due to covid but I know im gonna be blown and ill have a lot to talk about. Right now I can say im just really proud of the journey im embarking on.
How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends or work?
Ouuu, I lost almost all my friends because I wasn’t getting that energy that I needed from them to keep me going daily so I basically just keep it family and music daily
What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
Just keep pushing man. Don’t ever stop. Remember youre at a better stop than when you started
If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
Expect a lot of good music from me. Im only going up from here so watch out. keep expecting the best of me.
What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?
I have an EP coming soon (emotionally scarred). This ep is mainly to let my fans know who I truly am as a person and hear some parts of my story. Keep watching out for Jeda. Im working hard to get to where I feel like I deserve to be
