MTV Mozey shares on his music influences, creative tastes and new single “Designer”
Great to have you on Xttrawave. Please, introduce yourself.
Thank you Xttrawave, for having me but for those of you don’t know me I’m MTV Mozey from Trumbull ct, and no not like mtv the show it stands for “Money The Vibes”.
What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path?
I really loved music growing up especially because my dad was a Dj but I always notice that I enjoyed free styling a lot, I would do it over any beat and as a kid just record them in my dad studios then took it more seriously in high school.
Tell us about your new music? And what’s the story behind it?
So I recorded “designer” when I was in Miami, at bay eight studios, shoutout to them but the song is just about obviously the brands I love and how for me when I’m dealing with problems they kind of just make it go away.
What makes your music unique? How would you describe it?
Even though every artist feels like they’re different from everyone I think I’m honestly different because how versatile I am. If you listen to my other songs you see it’s just not one genre, I do pop, rap, punk pop, exc…
Who are your biggest music influences? And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future?
Biggest influence or artist I would say I really mess with is drake of course then juice wrld, the kid laroi, Ian Dior, MGK, polo g, and many more but you can see based on my style why I mess with these guys. I would love to work with any of these guys in the future for sure.
Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?
Best moment for me in my music career is the opening I did for lil tjay and lil mosey it was very early in my career and I’ve only gone up from then.
How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends or work?
I would say my friends and family are very into my music life which makes it easier to balance because they get to come to studio sessions, parties and more with me and to be honest who wouldn’t want to be around me I’m the best.
What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
I would say everyone is doing the same thing you’re doing, you know, so you got to stand out and invest in yourself doesn’t matter if it’s promos, Playlisting whatever be unique and do your own thing.
If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
Keep supporting me and watching me grow I notice my loyal fans and who’s been with me since the start.
What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?
I actually got a big project coming up with a i would say huge artist but people got to stick around to see who it is.
