Michelle Rendon delves on her creative tastes, musical influences & new music

Great to have you on Xttrawave. Please, introduce yourself.
My name is Michelle Rendon, I am from Georgia United States, and I am 16 years old
What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path?
I have musical roots from my mother and my grandfather, who also sing and since I was little they realized my ability to sing and even write songs
Tell us about your new music? And what’s the story behind it?
This 2021 I am releasing my first musical album called Stuck. All the songs I have written and are being produced by Brandon blvck who has won 6 billboards as producer and 3D who has 6 Grammy nominations. I have already released 5 songs “Lost”, “For granted, Forget it”, “I´m sorry”, “Stuck”, “For me” and soon, “Don´t want me” will be available, which is about giving us the value that we have, basically we say ‘If you don’t want me now, I don’t want you later.’
What makes your music unique? How would you describe it?
My music speaks to the soul, to the hearts of people who dare to love even when it does not always turn out well, the genre with which I identify is R&B and soul, but I can venture into other genres as well
Who are your biggest musical influences? And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future?
Im a fan of Olivia Rodrigo , Taylor swift, Billie Eilish , Coldplay , H.E.R and a lot of indie as well
Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?
My freshman year talent show event I sung my first completed written song “lost” and I was so happy with the results of people’s emotions by it. Everyone was able to relate in some kind of way and that was honestly a huge door opener to continue writing and start sharing my music more
How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends or work?
Sometimes timing can be tough but most of what I do with music I include my family and friends in it as well … such as inviting friends to sets and or events that involve my music. As well as family . They are all so supportive so I try my best to include them as much as I can possible
What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
Music comes from the heart. Writing what you feel and exposing it out into a tune is a magical experience that comes with what lies within whether it be pain , happiness, loss or even anger. Let your music explain what is hard to let out .
If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
Nothings better than having a family of people that care about what you have to say
What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?
Many. Most importantly having fun . I’m very excited for my upcoming projects . Each one unlocks my views in love
