Lady Impress Brings African Spirituality in Reggae With Album “Crossroads”

Lady Impress-2

Lady Impress new album “Crossroads” will release worldwide on all digital platforms on June 25, 2021. In this album Lady Impress embraces her spirituality and culture. Many of the songs are about her Yoruba faith, and black upliftment. The album contains six songs with short powerful interludes that creates a great musical journey. From Yoruba chants ,to songs about ancestor veneration, and more it’s a must have on your reggae playlist.

In this album Lady Impress showcases more of a roots reggae and cultural style compared to her usual dancehall music. She stated “ I want to show the world me, and I want to make music that uplifts.” The album has a interlude from the King of the African village that she is a member of in South Carolina. Her faith in voodoo or the traditional African religion is all over this album but it is still a overall feel good album for anyone.

Impress stated “I decided to name the album Crossroads because I was literally at every crossroad in my life . I had to go deeper in my spirituality”. Everything about this album I love and I’m looking to hear more from this artist!
