Four years after the Lockwood Estate incident, the world is now filled with once-extinct dinosaurs that freely roam the Earth. Claire and Owen secretly raise Maisie Lockwood, Benjamin Lockwood’s biogenetic granddaughter, at their remote cabin in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. When Maisie names an asexually-reproduced hatchling Beta, mercenaries kidnap her and capture Beta. Maisie and Beta were transported to Biosyn, and sympathetic cargo pilot Kayla Watts agrees to fly Claire and Owen to Malta, where they infiltrate a dinosaur black market with Owen’s former Jurassic World colleague Barry Sembène. They learn of the conspiracy between Biosyn and rival corporation InGen, and a group of paleontologists team up with the CIA to expose their illegal activities.
