Joseph Nevels releases new single “Abide”

After gaining millions of streams, getting music placed in some of Netflix’s top series and performing in Hollywood, some artists may get complacent; singer/songwriter Joseph Nevels only got better. His new single, “Abide”, has been well worth the wait. “Abide” takes listeners on a journey back to where Nevels started. A cinematic build up with the lyrical precision of a true wordsmith leads up to a drop that has a militant feel as he sings about his battles being with what we don’t see with the naked eye. His storytelling ability shines brighter than ever.
“Abide goes back to the core of who I really am, my foundation. As the first single from my upcoming project it felt right to start there. Sometimes you realize you just need to tap into what the Most High already placed within you.”
He sings about overcoming in a triumphant manner yet has a calming confidence while doing so. The bridge, “Whom shall I fear?” poses a rhetorical question which seems to explain this demeanor. It’s evident that Nevels knows who he is and we’re thrilled to hear his upcoming EP, “Abide” set to drop this summer.
