Johnny Marr has announced details of UK warm-up shows, taking place this summer. Check out the details below.

The new gigs come as the singer, songwriter, guitarist and former Smiths member is set to take to the stage at the 2025 edition of Forever Now Festival, held in Milton Keynes on June 22.

Now, to warm-up for the event, Marr has confirmed that he will be playing two intimate shows in the country shortly beforehand. These will be a slot at the 1985 venue in Southampton on June 19, followed by a show at the Foundry in Sheffield the following night (June 20).

Tickets for the new shows go on sale this Friday (May 3) at 10am BST. Visit here for tickets.

The dates also come as Marr is gearing up for a handful of shows across Europe later this year, including slots in Paris, Milan, Vienna, Berlin and more.

These headline shows kick off on October 21 with an opening night in France, and run through to November 7, where he will wrap up with a show in Italy.

In other Johnny Marr news, the artist was recently honoured as a ‘Record Store Legend’ with a Manchester plaque, arriving in time for Record Store Day 2025. He was awarded the accolade for his “enduring influence on music and his unwavering support for independent record stores worldwide”.

Before then, the Smiths legend announced details of a reissue of his 2003 album with The Healers, ‘Boomslang’, which included previously unheard material.

His most recent solo album, ‘Fever Dreams Pts 1-4’, arrived in 2022.
