Experimenting with music is a fascinating prospect for many artists. There’s nothing more enjoyable than making music that speaks to you and simply having fun with it. This is the prevailing thought that’s allowed Clint Maedgen to spearhead his artistic efforts for the past 25 years. It’s been wild for the creator and his many different endeavors, with a lot of impressive achievements to show for it.

Maedgen first began his pursuit of music as a multi-instrumentalist and frontman for rock band Liquidrone all the way back in 1992. Here, he would begin shaping the path of a musical career moving forward, staying with the act for over a decade. In the year 2004, however, he would leave Liquidrone for other ventures.

The very first thing he’d do after would be join The New Orleans Bingo! Show in 2001, a musical group that combined many different facets of entertainment together. You’d get theatrics, person-to-person interactions, comedic skits, and of course, shows of great musical talent, led by Clint Maedgen himself.

With this, Maedgen would pick up on even more influences inside and outside of music. The New Orleans Bingo! Show would even tour with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band in 2007 and 2008, granting further perspective. His unique experiences would expand his creative mind, giving him the desire to one day express his musical thoughts outside of the confines of his work.

In 2012, Maedgen would leave The New Orleans Bingo! Show. He’d begin experimenting with other outlets for his creativity, such as his main love and passion, photography. Eventually, he’d push further and further, adding more and more things to his list of creative endeavors, including his most recent, designing throw pillows after the beauty of french quarter doorbells.

Music would never truly leave his mind however, and with the advent of COVID-19, Maedgen would once again find himself wrapped up in musical thoughts. To help garner interest and funds for his music, he’d begin using Patreon to build a following. His eclectic blend of experimental and progressive music caught on instantly, allowing the musician to afford himself a true studio.

From here, Maedgen’s following continued to grow thanks to his excellent work ethic and creative ideas. He’d lead his own solo show in Asbury Park, mixing his love for photography with his musical passion for a one-of-a-kind performance. It has made him one of the most innovative and creative performers in this generation.

For Clint Maedgen, it’s all just part of his daily endeavor to share his thoughts and ideas with the world. Performing for you gives him a sense of community in these harrowing times, allowing him to connect with his audiences through his work. As he continues to create even greater works, it’s evident he’s still got plenty to offer, and we’re eager to see more.

“People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it.” – Clint Maedgen
