How long is ‘Split Fiction’ and how many chapters does it have?
Split Fiction is a huge step up in scale and variety from It Takes Two. But the game’s length and chapter list isn’t too different. In fact, both games last around the same amount of time.
Here is a breakdown of Split Fiction‘s length and chapter list, with details on each chapter’s events and length. We won’t list any spoilers here.
Split Fiction is around 11-14 hours in length, depending on how much you explore and how many side stories you do. This is almost identical to the length of It Takes Two. It took us around 16 hours to fully complete Split Fiction and earn every trophy. So, normal playthroughs will fall into that 11-14 hour range.

- Neon Revenge – 2 hours
- Hopes of Spring – 1 hour and 45 minutes
- Final Dawn – 2 hours
- Rise of the Dragon Realm – 2 hours and 10 minutes

- The Hollow – 1 hour and 30 minutes
- Split – 40 minutes
Intro
The introduction of the game serves to briefly showcase the split co-op mechanics and also set up the story with Rader and his publishing company. It’s the shortest chapter in the game and not too overwhelming when it comes to gameplay systems and variety.
Neon Revenge
Both Mio and Zoe learn to trust each other as they explore a futuristic cityscape from one of Mio’s novels. Traversing across flying cars, speeding away on a motorcycle, and facing off against huge robotic enemies, they will learn to help each other out to escape the predicament they are in.
Hopes of Spring
Stepping into one of Zoe’s fantasy stories, Mio and Zoe transform into fantasy creatures to solve puzzles, traverse the landscape, and face off against a dangerous threat that rules the land.
Final Dawn
Stuck in the middle of a gigantic war, Mio and Zoe equip blasters and jetpacks to explore a giant facillity, take down machines of war, and find a way to escape.
Rise of the Dragon Realm
Rise of the Dragon Realm sees Mio and Zoe enter a dragon-filled land from Zoe’s mind. Befriending a pair of dragons, they both grow with them, learning their abilities and using their powers of flight, charging, and acid spewing to destroy foes and get through obstacles.
Isolation
Stranded aboard a prisoner ship in outer space, Mio and Zoe race to escape this isolated world and defeat a major threat that has plagued Mio’s life for many years.
The Hollow
Hopping into Zoe’s spirit-animal-filled world, both of them will face off against mythical creatures and befriend spirit animals to help them resolve Zoe’s lingering trauma.
Split
With Rader finally in the crosshairs, Zoe and Mio’s stories collide in a final bid to take him down and escape.
