Lisa Dawn Miller’s Holiday Magic: From EP to Furry Hats and Everything in Between

 Lisa Dawn Miller's Holiday Magic

The recognizable sound of jingling bells, a dazzling display of glittering lights, and the alluring perfume of toasted chestnuts fill the air as we enter the Christmas season once again. However, no Christmas season would be complete without a good serving of comforting music to set the tone, which is where the captivating singer-songwriter Lisa Dawn Miller comes into play. Her new EP, “My Favorite Time of Year,” is designed to provide some additional sparkle to your holiday celebrations.

“My Favorite Time of Year” is not your typical Christmas playlist. A beautiful collection of unique Christmas tunes, each one painstakingly written to encapsulate the spirit of the occasion. Consider the lead single, “My Favorite Time of Year.” It celebrates the wonder and pleasure of the holidays, much like a warm cup of chocolate for your ears.

But Lisa’s festive spirit doesn’t end there. She also sings us “A Christmas Truce,” a hauntingly lovely song honoring the unofficial truces that were brokered during World War I.

Then there’s “A Miracle.” Together with producer and composer Mark Matson, Lisa co-wrote this masterpiece, getting inspiration from her crippled niece Angelique. It’s evidence of the tenacity and strength of the human soul.

And if that weren’t enough, Lisa also pays homage to her father’s favorite song, “Someday at Christmas.” She fills the song with a powerful commentary on the turbulent world of today as if to say, “Dad, I got this.” Who would have thought that Christmas music could be so powerful?

But my joyous friends, that’s not all! Lisa is a talented person who goes beyond her new EP. Her play, “For Once in My Life – The Songs of Ron Miller,” had its critically acclaimed debut recently at 54 Below in New York City. Special guests on the program included Broadway phenomenon Major Attaway, composer Bryan Wells, and comedian/actor Sandy Hackett. As if that weren’t enough, Oliver Richman, Lisa’s son and Ron’s grandson, sang a breathtaking rendition of Ron’s well-known hit song, “For Once in My Life.” It’s reasonable to conclude that brilliance comes from the family!

After such a successful debut, Lisa is preparing to tour her play around the United States in 2024–2025, taking it to other performing arts venues.

Did we also mention that Lisa is a producer and director in addition to being a musical force? She is the owner of J-Wall Records, a record label, and LDM Worldwide, a music publishing organization. She also oversees the Aurora Miller Legacy Songtrust, the Ron Miller Songbook, and the Ron Miller Legacy Songtrust as a managing partner. Heave hooray!

The best part is that Lisa is going to release two new singles: “There You Are,” a heartfelt ballad about love and sorrow, and “I’ve Been to Paradise,” an EDM dance EP. Thus, Lisa has you covered whether you’re seeking to dance the night away or are in the mood for some festive happiness.

So there you have it, folks: Lisa Dawn Miller, the creator of Christmas magic. Her show, her EP, her fuzzy hats, and her family’s heritage are all here to provide some cheer to your Christmas season. Joining together to enjoy unique moments is more significant and vital than ever, especially in light of all the turmoil and disagreement around the globe. So let Lisa’s music fill you with the happiness and love that you so well deserve. Let’s toast to the best season of the year!
