Sincerely P.S. Is Ready: Remastered Releases Prove How Far an Unsigned Rapper Can Take Himself

Sincerely P.S. has taken the plunge. After finalizing his home studio last year, which was in itself a labor of love, time, and money, Sincerely P.S. went to work remastering several albums, totaling well over 30 tracks. He has new releases in the works as well that promise to show his consistent and impressive growth as a rapper. Now, he has pulled three albums off Spotify and streaming platforms and replaced them with more professional masters. With this move, Sincerely P.S. takes the final step toward moving from a rapper to a performer, an unsigned artist to a true indie rapper.
It’s more than fair to say that Sincerely P.S., real name Preston Steele, has always been serious about making music. But he certainly followed an order to things, and while he has several quality albums and collaborations out, he’s only beginning to go after the completely well-rounded life he has as an artist. Steele has contracted with an agency to bring him bookings and is looking for a serious record label who can provide the genuine support he needs to take himself the rest of the way. Following Sincerely P.S.’s discography, you can see an artist who dove in years ago with a lot to learn grow into an artist who’s learned a lot–who’s skills have improved album by album, track by track–and who’s diving into the rest of what music has to offer. He’s never officially performed live, but it’s a testament to his talents that he’s found a booking manager who believes his freestyle and rap chops are all Steele needs to get the life he wants, including performances.
Preston is happy to give us the info on which releases he revamped first: “The story behind the 10 Track Project, 9 Rhyme Project, 8 Tape Project, and 7 Record Project is that 10-9-87 is my birthday.” Sincerely P.S. resolved to leave The 9 Rhyme Project up as a testament to his best work. The 9 Rhyme Project has received the most attention from the media of any of the projects and is a standout in his discography.
Says Steele of The 9 Rhyme Project, “I came up with The 9 Rhyme Project when I was working with a later-on-to-be Grammy-nominated Producer, and just added onto that concept for the other projects. The re-master for my debut album, “Sincerely, PS”, meant a lot to me because it had taken me several years to build my own home studio.”
Before he was Sincerely P.S., Preston Steele himself began creating as an answer to a question so many in his generation struggle with. In a word, that question is, “Am I okay?” It is a question that arises along with mental health issues, of which he had no shortage: “I remember the first song I ever wrote was a song to my mother, who I had a difficult relationship with, and who also had mental health issues. Mental health issues have been in my life and my family’s for generations. They have weighed heavily on me personally for almost twenty years.” Preston learned over the years that once mental health issues start, they don’t end. But he knows you can deal with and mitigate them. Now that he’s found his center, his grounding element, he’s found hope: “Music is my therapy. I can experience and feel one way or another about my health issues and experiences in my life, but then flip it and turn it all into a work of art.”
