Skirtboy’s The Valley Tapes
Skirtboy’s album from early summer, “Ganja Gang: The Valley Tapes” completely surprised me. I am always excited to receive tracks that I can’t label or place in a specific box. I think this kind of artistic behavior will save music and help it go further.
Skirtboy is an Alternative-Indie band started by life-long friends Bennett, Genu, and Jo. Coming from a diverse set of backgrounds and carrying a unique set of identities, “our mission is to become the icons of righteous self-expression and ruthless head-banging we needed growing up.” The musicians are offering limitless creativity as well as strong communicative energy. Everything that we need and that you will unconditionally love.
Skirtboy has been playing numerous shows around the greater Los Angeles area, and they are in the midst of producing their newest album. A summer tour is to be announced shortly.
