Los Angeles-based recording artist Psyclo reveals her upcoming track, “I’m Not Lovesick,” out on February 9

Singer-songwriter and producer Psyclo announces the release of “I’m Not Lovesick.” Part of her upcoming EP ’Slaughter House,’ “I’m Not Lovesick” is a personal and raw single from Psyclo, a talented musician who has always sought love in her life. Psyclo wrote this song about feeling lonely and empty, reflecting on her emotions that have been entwined her entire life and her desire for company. However, the type of company she seeks is not something that anyone or anything can ever provide her. Psyclo grappled with the process of coming to terms with herself, which left her hollow and without a clear purpose. In the process, she realizes that everyone experiences loneliness and emptiness in life. “I’m Not Lovesick” is soporific, bracingly credible, and a soulful song that is sure to earworm listeners. It reveals Psyclo’s belief that love is the only way to live peacefully on this planet. “Perhaps we’re all supposed to feel empty, so we can find the one thing hiding behind this emptiness and finally accept ourselves,” she says.
Psyclo was born and raised in China before moving to Los Angeles to study and joined a course to learn film making. However, she quickly realized that the film industry wasn’t for her due to her lack of social skills, and she gradually found solace in music and healing through sound. She has always been a fan of Hip-Hop, Death Metal, and Hard Rock; however, she spent a large part of her childhood away from music. Psyclo shares, “I really hated school. I loved my college though, because filmmaking was my passion at that time. But you always have to work with people in filmmaking, you always need some extra hands, and I hated that, at the same time during college, I got into music and gradually I learned where my heart truly lied.”
“I’m Not Lovesick” will be coming soon on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify. Visit Psyclo’s website and follow her on Instagram for more information on her upcoming projects.
