evntura unveils his new single ‘Godspeed’, an interlude taken from his upcoming collaborative mixtape with Swazi hip-hop artist and record producer, ‘KHILE‘. Eyob Goitom, commonly known by the pseudonym evntura, released the record on September 11, 2021 to mark the day of the Ethiopian New Year. With it, he wrote a message reading: ’’Godspeed On The Journey Ahead. And Happy Ethiopian New Year To All. May A New Dawn Rise Upon Us.”
The interlude serves as a reminder that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. ‘’At some point, the ethnic-based war and sufferings of our Tigrayan people will come to an end’’ Goitom speaks. ‘’So will the heartless massacre of civilians in eSwatini. Justice will prevail’’ he alluded in. And love conquers all—hence the outro which resounds Sade singing ‘’To have or to have not, one of us must make the peace. Who’s calling the shots? Let’s heal the wounds that we’ve made…’’
Eyob is a now twenty-year-old interdisciplinary artist operating as an author, creative director, designer, recording artist/producer, songwriter and screenwriter.
He is currently developing a diverse set of projects from different disciplines. The most notable of which being his upcoming children’s book series and audio-visual albums. He is primarily focused on fuelling his creative outlet Aventurine Co. – a production company, management service and publishing agency, preparing to release its first official film production in coming months!
