KI Back at It delves on his creative tastes & new album “Rookie and a Veteran”

Everyone call me Kl, stage name Kl Back At It: cuz I’m always back at it! Grew up in New Jersey
What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path?
Since I was a youngin I always used writing as a way to get away. But thanks to the internet & great blogs like Xttrawave, it’s easier to get that bag from music.
Tell us about your new music? And what’s the story behind it?
Rookie and a Veteran is my 9th studio recorded album. I feel like it reflects where I’m currently at being independent and all.
What makes your music unique? How would you describe it?
I try to make music that reflects the state we’re all in, I try to be relatable as possible.
Who are your biggest music influences? And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future?
I listen and respect all artists doing it and making money. And I’m open to collabs but I’m focusing on making music with artists from Mexico city, ect.
Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?
When I’m helping other that’s really into this music thing, that’s always my best moments. And of course when them checks come in.
How do you balance your music with other obligations– family, friends or work?
I always make time for the ones I love it’s important. Besides music I’m into trucking, internet marketing and Real estate so they also know I have to make time for the hustle!
What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
Forget and unlearn almost everything you think you know. Get ready for real work and nothing is never personal

What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects? I’m the most consistent Artist in the world! So it’s always new music coming. But for now listen to that Rookie and a Veteran album.
