DJ Khaled Gets Thrid No. 1 Album With “Khaled Khaled” on Billboard 200

DJ Khaled has got his third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, with his latest album, Khaled Khaled. Although many have critically judged him for looking different, sounding different and outselling his competition, Khaled still continues to prove he has a great ear for bringing talented artists together and create a masterpiece.
Khaled Khaled recorded 93,000 equivalent album sales during its first week out. Of the total, 76,000 were SEA units, meaning the album was streamed 106.87 million times. 14,000 units came in the form of album sales. His previous album Father of Asahd, amassed 136,000 units in its first week. But it was quite the effort since Khaled Khaled was good enough to dethrone last week’s No. 1, A Gangsta’s Pain from Moneybagg Yo. Following up was Morgan Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album rounds, Justin Bieber’s Justice, and Slime Language 2 from Young Thug.
His 12th studio album features appearances by Lil Wayne, Jeremih, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Cardi B, H.E.R., Migos, Post Malone, Megan Thee Stallion, DaBaby, Justin Bieber, 21 Savage, Bryson Tiller, Roddy Ricch, Drake, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Big Sean, Rick Ross, Puff Daddy, Nas, Jay-Z, James Fauntleroy, Justin Timberlake, Meek Mill, Buju Banton, Capleton, Bounty Killer, and Barrington Levy.
Throughout the album, DJ Khaled gets to channel different experiences, and shed light on a lot of themes, giving you a new perspective with every song you hear. Most notable is the massive reggae tune “WHERE YOU COME FROM” which features legendary artists Buju Banton, Capleton and Bounty Killer. Here, the artists get to share their everyday life experiences in Jamaica that seem to stimulate and inspire die-hard reggae fans across the world.
Khaled celebrated the honor with a post on Instagram. “This is the journey to the light,” he wrote. “All of our lives were changed. We went through dark times. But we have to be the LIGHT! We have to be GREAT for our family and the people we love! GOD IS THE GREATEST! #KhaledKhaled #1 album in the country!”
