Music Interview: BONDS SIMMONS delves on his creative tastes, musical influences & new single “CALL ME BROKE”

BONDS SIMMONS from nyc currently residing in atl… appreciate u guys giving me the opportunity to promote my brand.
What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path?
Since a kid I played with toy mics and radios recording myself… it was like the first thing that came to me.
Tell us about your new music? And what’s the story behind it?
I feel like all the ups and down in my life has given me a mixture of hunger, purpose, focus, and appreciation for the most high that I have been able to tap in energy wise, and I’m producing a project called “LOCAL LEGEND” its full of energy any focus… I dropped “CALL ME BROKE” song and video on YouTube and we at almost 100,000 views 1st month.
What makes your music unique? How would you describe it?
I make sure I give praise to the creator, confidence to the confused and weary as well as feeding the hunger of the streets so I think the balance along with my queens nyc swag separates me as an artist from almost anything u might here elsewhere.
Who are your biggest musical influences? And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future?
My biggest artist influences come from the guys that paved the way for where I’m from and/or flows were just super impressive… like NAS, CAPONE N NOREAGA, MOBB DEEP,THEN LIKE JAY-Z, BIGGIE, etc.
Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?
My influence and participation with the S.M.A.C.K dvd’s because it will forever be a legendary staple in the time capsule of hip hop.
How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends or work?
Its hard but I use the tactics I use to balance anything…the greatest help of all WISDOM, and PRAIRE.
What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
Focus on being a great artist 1st, then study the business and surround urself with those that share ur passion ONLY! if u keep pushing everything will fall in line…
If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
I stand by my music, I bleed into it, and I give all praise to THE MOST HIGH!
