“Heartbreak” from Lady J Musiq could be the next great club anthem. Great flow, good beat. Definitely got my head bobbing. I really liked the pop elements you used in a trap context. All in all, I feel like it’s a quality track.
Lyrics are strong, heartbreak is always a great universal songwriting theme. I think the hook is great, it sounds really good with the stacked harmonies. Your flow and delivery are both precise and on point. I could see this track as having some crossover pop appeal, thanks to the solid chorus. The 808 bass sounded great! The mix could be a little busy at times, perhaps consider swapping and/or dropping an element or two through certain sections. I did notice the couple of drops that were used, and I thought they had great effect.
Overall, Lady J Musiq has a unique sound and a voice that will land her in the same conversation amongst the greatest legacies ever told in rap by a female artist.
